Cookie Policy

Perelle's Kitchen uses cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand how it's used, and plans to use more to show ads. This page explains what each cookie does, including ones that aren't active yet.

Strictly necessary

Our own login system sets a session cookie when the site owner signs in to manage recipes. This cookie isn't set for regular visitors and doesn't require consent — the site can't function as an admin tool without it. If you're shown the consent message described below, Google's consent management platform also sets its own cookie to remember your answer so you aren't asked again every visit.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which recipes are popular, how people navigate, and where to improve. This includes what you type into our recipe search box, so please don't enter passwords or other sensitive information there. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors and sessions.

Advertising (planned)

We plan to use Google Ads to show advertising on the site. This isn't active yet; once it is, Google and its partners will use cookies such as _gcl_au and IDE to serve ads relevant to you and measure their performance, including based on your visits to this and other sites.

Your choices

If you're visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Google's consent management platform shows a message the first time you visit letting you consent, decline, or manage analytics and advertising storage individually. You can change your answer any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. You can also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, or manage Google's ad personalization directly at adssettings.google.com.
