Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes - cut into chunks
  • Some baby potatoes - whole or halved
  • 1 onion - cut into chunks
  • 2-3lbs beef - ideally flanken with bones
  • 1.5 cups barley
  • 1 can of baked beans (or can of kidney beans with some drizzled honey)
  • Drizzle of Ketchup
  • 1/8-1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • Sprinkle of Chili powder
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Water

Steps

  1. 1. Set up the crockpot according to your posek, with foil etc
  2. 2. Add everything to the crockpot right before Shabbos, in order of the ingredients. Sprinkle the seasonings according to your taste, and cover the ingredients with water until it's just above the ingredients.
